When
filing natural nails, always file in one direction.
It’s important not to use a sawing action
which can cause friction which can lead to splitting
and peeling. |
| |
Buffing
the natural nails should only be done every few
weeks or so. Over buffing can cause thinning and
weaken the nail. You should only buff in one direction,
from the cuticle to the free edge of the nail. |
| |
When
filing toe nails, ensure you file them straight
across as this should help prevent ingrown toe
nails. Each week remember to use a foot file which
removes any build up of hard skin, then apply
a good quality moisturising foot cream from the
OPI Pedicure range for brilliant results. |
| |
Hands
and nails should always be protected from detergents
and household chemicals. Make sure you invest
in a good quality pair of cotton lined rubber
gloves. Always use a good quality hand cream,
such as the Avoplex Hand and Nail Cream from OPI
or the Bio Sculpture Hand Cream if you have Gel
nails. |
| |
Remember,
when painting your nails, always use a base coat
before applying polish and finish with a top coat.
This will prolong the life of your nail colour
and prevent the polish from staining your nails.
|
| |
Always
rinse your hands and nails after using polish
remover, this will help prevent the polish remover
drying your nails. |
| |
The
responsibility and care of your Gel nails is up
to you!! Although Gel Overlays help strengthen
and protect natural nails, they need to be cared
for and should NOT be abused in any way by using
them to pick or scratch, exposing them to harsh
treatment and chemicals. This will cause them
to weaken and break. |
| |
Protect
your Gel Nails with cotton lined rubber gloves
when gardening, cleaning, decorating etc and treat
them with care at all times. Refer back to your
Bio Sculpture After Care Instructions for more
advice. |
| |
If
your nails or cuticles are dry, rub in the Bio
Sculpture Cuticle Oil daily, or the Cuticle Cream
if you prefer.
Bio Sculpture Hand Cream is a must
if you also suffer with dry, chapped hands.
|
| |
It
is advised that you ALWAYS use Bio Sculpture products
with your Gel Nails. It is at your own risk if
you use other brands of products, as they may
contain ingredients which cause the Gel to lift.
|
| |
Your
nails will need re-doing in 3 weeks or so. Don’t
try and stretch the advised time between appointments,
this rarely works and your nails will suffer!!
Remember to book your next appointment before
you leave, especially if you need one on a Saturday
or evening. |
| |
If at any time you notice the Gel to be lifting
or damaged, please call for an appointment so
it can be repaired. You should NEVER pick at any
gel that appears to be lifting. This can cause
serious damage and thinning to the natural nail.
|
| |
Gel Nails can be
removed safely and quickly with the Bio Sculpture
Gel Remover. This should be followed by a moisturising
treatment to restore flexibility and moisture to
the natural nail. |
